Angela Janneth Cerrato
Angela
is 17 years old and in the 9th grade at the Jose Santos Guardiola public
school. She lives in Colonia Balfate, Sandy Bay, in the house
pictured, with 5 other family members: her father, brother (18) and his wife
(16) and their baby (1 month), and another brother (16).
Angela's room is a small addition added on to the back of the house (those
last 2 panels pictured below). Her walls are old shed doors and wood,
but unfortunately there are still several holes
that allow the rain to come in.
What career do you want to have in the future? a teacher
What are your favorite
foods? fish and chicken
Why do you like to play soccer? "Because I share with my friends and I learn a lot about God."
What chores do you do around the house? "I clean the house and I clean the clothes."
What do you like to do with your friends? "I like to go to the beach, go to church, and go to school."
What church do you attend, and what do you like about it? "The Catholic Church. I like to go because I talk with my friends and I enjoy being with Christ."
What do you think about when you think about God? "That everything is much better and I believe in Him and do what He wants."
What is something that has happened in your life that made you very happy? "When we formed the soccer team I felt very happy that I would have many friends and know about Christ."
What is something that has happened in your life that made you very sad? "When my parents separated and my mother left the house and left me alone."
If someone was going to pray for you, what would you want them to pray about? "I want them to pray for my family and that my mother returns home, and pray for the (soccer) team. I want my mother with my family and to all live together. I want someone that understands me and helps me in the good and the bad, (who) helps me and (I can) always lean on. I want to be with my mother right now and spend Christmas with her, but I can't.
