Carmina is 14 years old and in the 5th grade at the Roverto V. Stanley public school. She lives in the community of Sandy Bay, in the house pictured, with 5 other family members: her father, mother, sister (22), brother (18), and sister Karina (15). She is and Islander who speaks both Spanish and English. Her family's house is right on the beach and right next to the Sandy Bay field.

What are your favorite foods? sea snails and chicken
What is your favorite TV show? Black Entertainment Television
What chores do you do around the house? "I clean the house."
What career do you want to have in the future? a lawyer
What do you like to do with your friends? watch television
Why do you like to play soccer? "So I can score goals."
What church do you attend, and what do you like about it? "I go to the Seventh Day Adventist Church in West End to read the Bible."
What do you think about when you think about God? "My spiritual life."
What is something that has happened in your life that made you very happy? "When I passed my grade at school."
What is something that has happened in your life that made you very sad? "When my grandfather died."
If someone was going to pray for you, what would you want them to pray about? "For me to change my life."
