Karina is 15 years old and in the 7th grade at the Jose Santos Guardiola public school. She lives in the community of Sandy Bay, in the house pictured, with 5 other family members: her father, mother, sister (22), brother (18), and sister Carmina (14). She is and Islander who speaks both Spanish and English. Her family's house is right on the beach and right next to the Sandy Bay field.

What are your favorite foods? fried chicken

What chores do you do around the house? "I wash clothes, clean the kitchen, and other things."
What career do you want to have in the future? a legal clerk
What do you like to do with your friends? "Play soccer, and go to the beach, and go to church"
Why do you like to play soccer? "To run and get exercise and other things."
What church do you attend, and what do you like about it? "I go to the Seventh Day Adventist Church."
What do you think about when you think about God? "I think of so many things."
What is something that has happened in your life that made you very happy? "Everything, when I scored my first goal in a game."
What is something that has happened in your life that made you very sad? "nothing."
If someone was going to pray for you, what would you want them to pray about? "To help my family and me."
