Karla Patricia Rosales

Karla is 13 years old
and in the 5th grade at the Robert N. Stanley public
school. She lives in the community of Sandy Bay, in the mud-house
pictured, with
8 other family members: her father, mother,
her sister Keydi,
2 other sisters,
2 brothers, and a niece. The path from the road to their house is
about a 10 minute walk, but it runs along a stream and the scenery is very
beautiful (click on lower picture).
What career do you want to have in the future? working with the tourism
What are your favorite foods? everything is my favorite food
What do you like about living on Roatan? the beach
Why do you like to play soccer? "I like to play soccer because it is my passion."
What chores do you do around the house? "Everything."
What do you like to do with your friends? "Go on trips to play soccer and be together."
What is your favorite TV show? (no TV)
What do you like about your church? "I like everything about our church."
What do you think about when you think about God? "That God is good and He loves us all."
What is something that has happened in your life that made you very happy? "The best thing that has happened to me is that I am with my parents and with my brothers and sisters and with my whole family."
What is something that has happened in your life that made you very sad? "When my brothers treat me bad."
If someone was going to pray for you, what would you want them to pray about? "They can pray for my parents, for me, and for my spiritual life."
