Keydi Sebastiana Rosales

Keydi is 14 years old
and in the 6th grade at the Robert N. Stanley public
school. She lives in the community of Sandy Bay, in the mud-house
pictured, with
8 other family members: her father, mother,
her sister Karla,
2 other sisters,
2 brothers, and a niece. The path from the road to their house is
about a 10 minute walk and includes a tree bridge which her sister, Dicci
(Dixie), demonstrates (click on lower picture).
What career do you want to have in the future? a chef or computers
What are your favorite foods? fruits, vegetables, and other things
What do you like about living on Roatan? the beach, nature, I don't like the trash
Why do you like to play soccer? "I like to play soccer because it is fun."
What chores do you do around the house? Clean and fix things
What do you like to do with your friends? "Play soccer and laugh a lot with them."
What is your favorite TV show? (no TV)
What do you like about your church? "I like everything about our church."
What do you think about when you think about God? "About the love of God for us and about the end of the world."
What is something that has happened in your life that made you very happy? "It was when I began to play soccer with the other girls."
What is something that has happened in your life that made you very sad? "I keep thinking that I cannot fulfill my dreams."
If someone was going to pray for you, what would you want them to pray about? "For my spiritual life and my sadness."
