Our friend Erica visited from the U.S., and her family provided some equipment for us!
We recently journeyed way out to Oak Ridge
The young women there were tall, fast, and very good
Probably our best game was with Colegio Guardiola
We lost 3-2, but we are a much improved team!
We played our first game in the Stadium in May
Before the game, we talk about how we will play
None of the girls have ever played here before
The opponent was an experienced French Harbor team
It's hard to see, but we scored a goal!
The final score was 1-1
We played 2 girls teams from the USA
They were visiting missions teams
We won both games!
Our first real game was against Brick Bay
We tied 3-3
This is how we get to practice
We practice on the beach or the Sandy Bay baseball field.
The girls prctice 2-3 days a week.
Most have never been taught how to pass or shoot.
We pray at each practice.
We are getting to know the girls and thier families.
