Update - February 2002
Do you remember your
first day of school? Or maybe your child’s? Last week, we watched as 6
young children came for their first day of school? They are a part of the
CSI Pre-School which began on Monday. First of all, we were blessed that
the local Methodist Churches donated the use of a small church building
right on the beach on Half Moon Bay. It took some hauling and scrubbing
(Thanks Angie, Aly, Jeremy, and other neighborhood kids!), but everything
was clean by opening day. The children were tentative at first, but Brandi
helped
them
to soon feel like they belonged. She is meeting with six children in the
mornings on Monday through Thursday. They will participate in writing,
reading, counting, coloring, singing, etc., basically in a Bible school
format. On Fridays all of the area children are invited to a story time and
refreshment time.
